JOIN US FOR A DAY OF RIDING SUPPORTING A VERY WORTHWHILE CAUSE. Help us donate to the Langley Food Bank to help needy families.

Come support your local food bank! Drop off a Non-perishable food item. Great Ride around the lower Mainland.
Details: Join us for a fun afternoon of riding around the lower mainland. Ride By Donation - All proceeds go to the Food Bank
Hot meal after the ride - $10.00

We are accepting any cash donations and all profit from the entry fee will be donated to the Langley Food Bank.

Event Comments: MAY 25TH ,2025 GVMC ANNUAL CHARITY RIDE. RIDE BREAKDOWN. May 25, 2025, Day of the ride. We had gorgeous weather, there were 12 riders and 1 passenger that showed to support the ride. You had a choice of two routes, first one was 276 kilometers and used 60 kilometers of highway 1. The second route was 256 kilometers and used most of highway 7.
The ride was by donation and that brought in $720.00 dollars. Huge thanx to Wes and Debbie Jamison for their donation of $500.00, and Jackie Heppler who donated $50.00. These donations were in the form of checks. They were given to Ron Gaudette to deliver right away.
The dinner was ham and split pea soup with buns, all you can eat, $10.00 per person, added to the prize raffle which consisted of T- shirts, hoodies, DVDs, flashlights, buffs, stickers and a first aid kit. Raffle cost was $5.00 a chance. That brought in $175.00.
Making the ride grand total of $895.00 in donations.
May 27, 2025, dinner was added to the donation pot by trying to use up the left-over soup. Dinner was $8.00 per person all you can eat, soup, buns and ice cream. That brought in $115.00. along with the yearly Membership donation collected of $287.00, topped off by a club donation of $500.00 which brought that night’s total to $902.00.
Bringing the ride total to $1,797.00 Minus Expenses of $155.00 Brings the grand total to $1,642.00
I would like to thank everyone that turned out to support this year’s charity ride and stayed to help afterword for clean up. I would also like to thank Jackie for taking the donations at dinner.
This is only the start I will be collecting donations until December where Ron Gaudette will deliver the donated cash and nonperishable food items to the food bank, so you still have time to donate.
A final end of the year total will be announced at our first Business meeting of 2026. Thanx again for the support. Bill
